Biography

Andrew began doing stand-up comedy ten years ago. In that time, he has performed across Canada and internationally, taken part in rural tours for the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, as well as performed in the Comedy Festival’s local and improv gala shows. Andrew was the winner of the 2011 “Winnipeg’s Gone Wacky” comedy competition, and he has also been featured on CBC Radio‘s Laugh Out Loud several times.

In addition to stand-up, Andrew has trained and performed as an actor for twelve years in theatre, film, and radio. During that same time, he has also trained in improv. He studied for many years under the internationally-acclaimed troupe CRUMBS, and completed the intensive program at the world famous Improv Olympic in Chicago.

Andrew is also an accomplished playwright who currently works as a dramaturge for The Manitoba Association of Playwrights. His play “The Getaway” was nominated for the Harry Rintoul Award at the 2012 Winnipeg Fringe Festival. Andrew also wrote for the local sketch television program “Week Thus Far”, has written for websites like ShowbizMonkeys.com and “Girl About Town”, and received a community outreach award for his writing on the radio drama “At the Monarch’s Convenience.”

Andrew recently finished shooting three different television/web pilots.
